Ashley McKenzie

 

Grade : 2nd Dan.

 2011 World Cup Champion.2005 European Cadet Bronze champion, 2005 European Youth Olympics 5th place, 2007 Bronze junior champion, 2008 and 2009 British Senior Open Gold medallist, 2009 represented Great Britain in the World Senior Championships and 2009 European U23 bronze medallist. Ashley is the most prolific under 60kg player Great Britain has produced for many years. This  young player is hot favourite for the London 2012 Olympics.

            Karen Briggs MBE

Grade : 5th Dan

Four times World Judo Champion, Commonwealth Gold medallist, Olympic Medallist and European Champion. Karen famously dislocated her shoulder in an early round of the European Championships, pushing it back into place, and going on to win the gold medal . Karen is widely regarded as the most successful British woman in the sport.

Grade: 6th Dan

 NHC Team Manager, Club JSC produced several Olympians naming Peter and Thomas Cousins.

Grade : 6th Dan

Double Olympian (92 & 96), 5th World Championships, 5 times European Medallist, European Champion. Former Judo Scotland National Coach and Scottish Institute of Sport High Performance National Coach (1998 - 2005).

 Thank you to Nigel for a brilliant session. Everyone at Coopers Judo Club really enjoyed themselves.
